<font color="#333333" size="2">광주새날학교는 24일 초.중.고 전교생 90여명을 대상으로 딸기농장 체험학습을 실시했다고 밝혔다.<br /><br />전남 담양군에 위치한 새콤달콤 딸기하우스 농장에서 진행된 현장학습은 2017년 새로운 정착지를 찾아 이주한 고려인동포 자녀들과 국제결혼을 통해 입양된 중도입국 다문화 청소년들이 딸기 생장 과정을 학습하고 맛있는 딸기를 수확하는 활동을 통해 한국 농촌문화를 이해할 수 있는 기회를 제공했다.<br /><br />또한 새날학교는 낯선 한국사회를 살아가는 중도입국 다문화청소년들에게 딸기 농장 체험을 통해 수확의 기쁨을 맛보고, 직접 딴 딸기를 가지고 딸기잼도 만드는 학습을 제공해 참석한 학생들의 마음에 큰 성취감도 부여햇다.<br /></font>

<br />체험학습에 참여한 중앙아시아출신 이알레시아(15세)양은 &ldquo;딸기가 열리는 과정과 그 모습을 직접 보고 나니 정말 신기하고 귀여웠다. 금방 수확한 딸기는 매우 달고 맛있다는 것도 알게 되었고 친구들과 함께 딸기를 따는 시간이 너무 즐겁고 행복했다&rdquo;며 참여 소감을 밝혔다.<br /><br />한편, 광주새날학교는 다양한 문화를 직접 몸으로 체험할 수 있는 한국전통문화체험학습, 자연사랑체험학습, 농촌문화체험학습, 친환경체험학습, 과학캠프 등의 프로그램을 편성 낯선 한국사회를 살아가야 할 이주배경 청소년들에게 꿈과 희망을 심어주고 있다.<br /><br />현지희 기자
